18 Jun Chevrolet #ChevyDads Premiere
Last night I attended the premiere of Chevorlet #ChevyDads campaign (thanks KP!). The event was intimate, and we watched the 2 shorts featuring accomplished native New Yorkers and their fathers in the Soho House NYC theater. Chevy’s campaign to bring more appreciation to fathers feature DJ/producer Stretch Armstrong, his father, private art dealer Armand Bartos, along with writer Tabatha McGurr, and her father, influential graffiti artist, Futura – all of who were in attendance.
The beautifully produced films highlighted not only the bond between each duo, but their connection to New York City – and how growing up here had an impact on the careers of Stretch Armstrong and Tabatha. Being a city kid myself, I really connected and loved the stories of elements a city upbringing bestows on you and watching each pair hang out in different places around the city. The main focus of the shorts were really the deep relationship between fathers and their children – which came across clearly.
I think this campaign is wonderful start to finish- including the premiere event! The films make you want to call your dad and hire a production team. I can’t wait to see how much Chevy Sons + Daughters picks up in the coming days. The films debuted online earlier today, watch them below:
