22 Dec 3 Free Instagram Analytics Tools to Replace Iconosquare
Analytics and tracking are some of the most important elements of social media marketing. If you aren’t tracking how your accounts are performing than you’re missing out on information that is extremely valuable for your online growth. For tracking Instagram statistics Iconosquare was a go-to, but now that the service has to be paid for, I know a lot of people are looking for free alternatives.
As we wait for an Instagram business manager to analyze the performance of our Instagram accounts, here are a few replacements for Iconosquare’s Instagram analytics tool:
The Websta tool has been around for a while. The interface is cluttered with ads, and isn’t the easiest to navigate, but it gives you the same stats Iconosquare does, for free. The charts aren’t as nice, but you get the information you need.
Ink 361 isn’t as robust as other tools when it comes to specifics. If you need to know what photo did best last October – this isn’t the tool to turn to. It is best for getting an overall snapshot of your current account performance. They do however have beautiful charts for average like/comment counts on a rolling month by month basis like Iconosquare did (which I love). Another unique and handy feature on Ink 361 is the site’s list of the most popular tags on Instagram. The page displays a list of tags broken down by main hashtags or industries with the number of posts for each tag – convenient.
Squarelovin – The winner!
The newest tool I’ve discovered is Squarelovin. It seems to be the most comparable to Iconosquare. Squarelovin provides insights that include monthly analysis of your account including your best performing content on month to month basis (and overall), best and worst times to post, filter impact, total and average like/comment on a month to month basis, account growth and more. So far Squarelovin has been the most complete free tool – and it’s visually pleasing as well. I’ve read on a few other blogs to proceed with caution when it comes to time on this tool. The company is based in Germany and folks have reported that even though they set their local time when signing up, the site still reports in German time. I just set up my account- but I’ll let you know what I find.
I hope this helps anyone looking for a few free alternatives to track your Instagram analytics. What tools (free or paid) do you use to track your Instagram statistics?
